Madreselva

The Hotel Madreselva is situated just a one minute walk from the main beach of Los Caños de Meca. The hotel is a low slung one storey building built 'Hacienda' style with all the rooms around a large plant filled courtyard. All the rooms also have a small private terrace where you can read, relax or store your surf equipment. All of Madreselva's eighteen rooms have bathrooms and air conditioning. The hotel has a private swimming pool and it’s own parking. The hotel and all rooms have been completely renovated in the winter of 2008. Caños de Meca is surrounded by a spectacular National Park of umbrella pines and wild dunes with medieval stone towers watching over Cape Trafalgar. The untamed Atlantic coastline is a mix of high cliffs, hidden bays and long beaches of golden sand. Surfers from all over Europe migrate here for the winter waves and there are excellent conditions for kite surfing all year. Horses and mountain bikes can be rented nearby for those who wish to explore the trails through the park and into the nearby whitewashed medieval town of Vejer. Seafaring Cadiz, the home of sherry Jerez and other cultural delights (Tarifa, roman Baelo Claudia, Arcos de la Frontera...) are all within an easy drive from us.
